This is the website for the music and projects of UK sound artist Chris Hobbs.
Chris picked up an electric guitar at the age of 13 and began a lifelong relationship with music and experimentation.
After studying Bmus Music and MA Sonic Arts at Sheffield, Chris built up a variety of compositional skills in electronic and instrumental music composition and performance in both the art and popular fields.
Having played works alongside international leaders in electronic composition he continues to study his interests for composition and coding, coding games, audio tools and websites and writing music for film, as well as for performance and distribution across nearly every style imaginable - from Orchestral and Electronic Art works, to EDM, Rock and Singer/Songwriter material.
His experiences working in electronic music have made him an excellent sound editor, capable of creating complex and unique sound designs for all purposes.
His works for concert and theatre have been played in several venues, including The Crucible, and at concert series such as Sound Junction, iFIMPac and Musica Nova.
His interests currently span electronic and instrumental music. He is interested in pursuing the ways his technical skills can complement his guitar-based and vocal talents.
